Repurposing hexagon grid board core logic from Hextopia with an aim to building the foundations of a new game.

Borne of a desire to see if I could wrangle Unity’s then brand-new ECS library into some dramatic large-scale interactive battle scene I set out to see about building a gun turret.

Sheep Island was a little project I made as a Christmas gift for a close friend. It’s the first self-generated project since I became a developer where I’ve actually managed to get to a point where I could call it “finished”!

In 2019 I had the good fortune to be able to use some company hack days to see about learning how various flavours of reinforcement learning work.

Building on my procedurally-generated island mesh, the next step was to see about bringing some life to the land.

Building on Voronoi and Delaunay grids, I then sought to work out how to turn that into geometry in Unity.
